BUS RULES

General Rules

1. From the time the bus starts moving until it stops, students are to stay seated.
2. If there are not enough seats, the youngest students must be seated.
3. All students are to respect and respond to the instructions of the company bus monitor and student bus captain.
4. No student is to distract the bus driver.
5. Younger students who misbehave are to be reseated with high school students.
6. Extra seats are available on the bus for those not in the school’s bus program, when there are three busses at 345 pm and at anytime for the late bus. Bus tickets can be purchased from the GAO.

Reporting and Disciplinary System

1. First Violation: warning is reported to the GAO Advisor but second warning is reported to the Principal.
2. Second Violation: Depending on the seriousness of the incident, a student may be suspended from the bus service or given detention.
3. Third Violation:  will always result in a one week suspension from use of the bus service.
4. Fourth Violation/ Repeated warnings/excessive misbehavior: will result in a student’s being removed from the bus program.

Main Duties of the Bus Captain: Check that general rules are followed and follow the reporting procedure.

1. Keep students safe on the bus
2. Maintain noise level and appropriate conditions
3. Insure safety of younger students
4. Prevent accidents
