school volleyball boys and girls
Middle
School Volleyball focuses on developing the
core volleyball skills necessary for further
advancement in the sport. At the Middle School
level these skills include: blocking, setting,
hitting, overhand/underhand serve and positioning.
Practices are held two days a week and focus
on skill development, teamwork, participation,
and fun! The teams have games when schedule
permits and play in an end of the year tournament.
Middle
school softball boys and girls
Middle
school softball allows boys and girls to be
involved and in a team game which builds cooperation
and skills. During this season students will
practice fielding and batting skills along with
team strategies. The emphasis is on exercise
and fun.
The
MS Softball tournament is Sat Dec 10th at Morrison
Christian Academy, from 9:00 to 16:00.
Middle
school soccer boys and girls
Middle
School Soccer focuses on developing the core
soccer skills necessary for further advancement
in the sport. At the Middle School level these
skills include: ball dribbling, trapping, receiving
skills, passing, kicking, offensive/defensive
strategies, and positioning.
By joining the soccer team, students will not
only increase their soccer skills, but will
also learn teamwork and conditioning in a competitive
sport. The school soccer team represents AST
at other schools and participants are expected
to conduct themselves in a responsible manner
by maintaining their academics and practicing
good sportsmanship.
Middle
school Basketball for boys and girls
Middle
school basketball at AST is a competitive interscholastic
activity. Students will practice during the
season in preparation for end of season tournament
focus will be on individual skills and team
play both offense and defense. Students will
be expected to strive to improve their physical
condition and their individual talents.
