The High School Student Government Constitution
was written in 1997 with the idea of forming
a bridge between the administration and the
student body.
Student Government provides a needed channel
of communication that helps to protect the rights
of students while promoting understanding between
students and the administration. Additionally,
the goal of this Student Government is to promote
school spirit, interest, activities and events.
High school STUGO meets every Wednesday at lunch.
Student Government supports student expression
of ideas, as well as giving students opportunities
to practice leadership skills. There are four
elected officer positions, President, Vice President,
Secretary, and Treasurer. There are four committees
each with elected chairs, student membership,
and assigned responsibilities.
